lyrics

Straight from the land of knee cappin’s and punishment beatin’s/
Where any man with weak rappin’ is gunna get eatin’/
Where drug dealin’ is rampant and bigotry reigns/
Thugs steal what they want and they never refrain/
From smokin’ those that offend ‘em and wanna get near ‘em/
Poke your nose in and end up like Veronica Guerin/
It’s just a commentary here and you’ll have to pardon my ignorance/
But why were educations in the hands of Martin McGuinness?/
From the start to the finish, since the troubles began/
There’s people runnin’ this land that have blood on their hands/
Forefathers of our troubles we forgot to thank you/
More slaughtered since Arbuckle got shot in Shankill/
And for what? The life of every person ya took/
The curtains were drew cuz you interpret a book/
Slightly differently? Thought you might be kiddin’ me/
No joke, that’s the reason for the nightly killin’ sprees/

April 10th '98 – the Good Friday Agreement/
The date that meant things’d change – you might say appeasement/
Disarmament – but they full of it cuz/
They’re still harmin’ us, they just traded bullets for drugs/
No pain, we expected we were done with the problems/
Then cocaine and ecstasy flooded the province/
And the blood on their hands it wouldn’t wash off with ease/
Makin’ a killin’, take it to children, get ‘em smashed off of E’s/
I gotta say now I’m bettin’ that that shit shook ‘em up/
They laid down their weapons and the kids took ‘em up/
He-Man and Action Men for knives and knucks/
Its e-tabs they snack on when its time for tuck/
Then they takin’ to the streets for crime and stuff/
They’ll make ya feel the heat like the climate’s stuck/
Pocket money? Stop it dummy you’d have half that if you could/
Random stabbin’s that they havin’ laughs at on You Tube/

Since devolution who sees improvements?/
We need solutions to the streets pollution/
I’m not talkin’ bout garbage, we walk around heartless/
The number one job is chalk on ground artist/
That awful sound starts and we’re coffin bound targets/
We’re on the ground scarred like lost and found parts/
It’s a danger zone, we’re not safe at home/
They place the chrome to your face and dome, your brains are blown, it’s saved on phones/
Where the strangers roam is where you don’t wanna be/
Cuz it could be you and this no lottery/
That you wanna win, they got us in a terrible predicament/
I’m sick of it, ridiculous, a miracle we’re livin’ in/
These days and times, there’s a problem in the streets/
I’ve fed your mind cuz there’s a famine in streets/
And damn it I believe we can’t pretend – it’s hopeless/
Read Revelations – the end approaches/
